Get Going In Business was built on a simple observation: law firms were spending heavily to generate leads, then losing most of them to a process that was never designed to convert.
How we got here
We started working with small businesses on sales operations and CRM setup — and kept running into the same situation. A firm would invest in Google ads, SEO, or a referral network, get real inbound interest, and then watch those leads go cold before anyone ever picked up the phone or sent a follow-up.
It wasn't a marketing problem. It was a process problem. The firms that were growing weren't necessarily spending more — they were just better at capturing and converting the leads they already had.
Law firms, it turned out, had this problem more acutely than almost anyone else. High lead value, high urgency on the client side, and yet an industry-wide culture of treating intake as an afterthought. We started focusing there exclusively — and haven't looked back.
Today we work with solo practitioners, small firms, and growing practices across the country, all from our base in Asheville, NC. Every engagement is hands-on, every system is built for the specific firm, and we stay in it for the long haul.
What we believe
We don't recommend the same CRM or automation stack to every firm. We start with an audit of your actual process, find the specific points where leads are falling off, and build from there.
A follow-up that depends on someone remembering to do it is not a follow-up strategy. We build systems that run whether or not your best paralegal is having a great week.
If you can't see it in a dashboard, you can't improve it. Every engagement includes tracking from day one so you always know what's working, what isn't, and where the next win is hiding.
Lawyers bill by the hour. The goal of every system we build is to make sure that hour is spent on legal work — not chasing leads, playing scheduling tag, or manually following up on forms.
We don't deliver a setup document and disappear. We stay in the engagement, review the metrics monthly, and keep refining. A system that isn't evolving is one that's falling behind.
We're a small business working with small firms. We're not pitching enterprise software or trying to turn you into a mega-practice. We help the kind of firm that wants to grow sustainably and serve clients well.
Our approach
Most consultants set something up, hand you a login, and wish you luck. We operate differently. Every engagement is a 6-month partnership because that's genuinely what it takes to build, test, and optimize an intake system that performs consistently.
We map every step of your current process, listen to how calls are handled, review your web forms, and set baseline metrics. You get a clear picture of exactly where leads are leaking.
We configure your CRM with stages, custom fields, and automations specific to your practice area. Every lead source is connected and tracked from the first touch.
Follow-up sequences, booking links, payment collection, and reminder workflows go live. Your team is trained. The system starts running.
Each month we review the data together: what converted, what didn't, where the next improvement is. We adjust, refine, and make sure the numbers keep moving in the right direction.
Where we're from
We're proud to be based in Asheville, NC — a city full of independent businesses, creative problem-solvers, and people who believe in doing work that actually matters. That culture shapes how we operate.
We work with law firms across the country, fully remotely. What we bring to every engagement is the same: a small-town work ethic, a straight-talking approach, and a genuine commitment to the firms we partner with.
If you're in Western North Carolina, we're always happy to meet in person. If you're in Phoenix or Portland — we work just as well over Zoom.
